This green-eyed, brunette was born on June 3, 1957, the island of Malta in the Mediterranean Sea to British parents. Her dad was was in the British Marines and they stayed in the said place for 6 months and then went back to England. Growing, she got to travel a lot because of her dad’s work. They then settled back (again) to England when she was 11.

“It was a small town and the nearest big town was Plymouth. I worked there for about 5 years after school then went to London for a couple of years. I ended up moving to Los Angeles because my mother went on a vacation and she met somebody in New York. So she moved to LA and that’s how I came here. I was 23 at the time. While I was growing up, I was involved in amateur dramatics and the theatre, so singing dancing, acting from about 12-19.”

Career Journey

It all began when she was still in school, acting in plays. Yup, she was a natural performer. And in her small town, there was a melodramatic theater company. And since her mom was an opera singer, Magdalene here was often cast in musicals such as Fiddler On The Roof.

When she moved to the United States in her early 20s, she pursued a mainstream acting career. She even joined SAG (Screen Actors Guild) in 1984 and has appeared in many mainstream movies and TV shows including The Love Boat, Dynasty and Dallas but to name a few!

Magdalene here also appeared in the action/drama feature film Turk 182 (1985) starring Timothy Hutton, Kim Cattrall, and Robert Urich.

In 2007, Magdalene attended the 2007 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was here that Magdalene stumbled upon the Girlfriends Films booth and met owner Dan O’Connell. Captivated by Magdalene, Dan asked if she would consider filming for Girlfriends Films.

“I told him (Dan O’Connell) I had studied acting and told him my background and we talked about how I liked kissing a lot. He told me that’s what they do with a lot of kissing and touching. He asked me if that would be something I’d be interested in and I told him, ‘Yes!’ Here I was, 49-years old and I filled out my paperwork and I fudged my age because I didn’t want to put down ‘49’. When we went back to LA, we met for sushi and a couple of days later, he called me and told me that he wrote a movie for me, I Like To Kiss. He gave me a choice of one of two women. One of them happened to be Samantha Ryan and the other was Lena Nichole. Samantha wasn’t available so we went with Lena. He always told me that it was his favorite movie. I shot it in March of 2007.”

As for her stage name, Magdalene here said that she has always been drawn to Mary Magdalene though she is not a religious person.

“Mary Magdalene, when it came to a stage name, that was the first thing I thought of. I didn’t care what the majority of people think. Then, Dan O’Connell was the one who said I needed a last name. Then, right up the coast from where I grew up in England, the very last county. There’s a little island off the coast and it’s called St. Michaels Mount and it’s beautiful. So that’s how I chose my stage name!”
