Career Journey<\/h2>\n

It all began when she was still in school, acting in plays.\u00a0 Yup, she was a natural performer.\u00a0 And in her small town, there was a melodramatic theater company.\u00a0 And since her mom was an opera singer, Magdalene here was often cast in musicals such as Fiddler On The Roof.<\/p>\n

When she moved to the United States in her early 20s, she pursued a mainstream acting career.\u00a0 She even joined SAG (Screen Actors Guild) in 1984 and has appeared in many mainstream movies and TV shows including The Love Boat, Dynasty and Dallas but to name a few!<\/p>\n

Magdalene here also appeared in the action\/drama feature film Turk 182 (1985) starring Timothy Hutton, Kim Cattrall, and Robert Urich.<\/p>\n

“I told him (Dan O’Connell) I had studied acting and told him my background and we talked about how I liked kissing a lot.\u00a0 He told me that\u2019s what they do with a lot of kissing and touching.\u00a0 He asked me if that would be something I\u2019d be interested in and I told him, \u2018Yes!\u2019\u00a0 Here I was, 49-years old and I filled out my paperwork and I fudged my age because I didn\u2019t want to put down \u201849\u2019.\u00a0 When we went back to LA, we met for sushi and a couple of days later, he called me and told me that he wrote a movie for me, I Like To Kiss.\u00a0 He gave me a choice of one of two women.\u00a0 One of them happened to be Samantha Ryan and the other was Lena Nichole.\u00a0 Samantha wasn\u2019t available so we went with Lena.\u00a0 He always told me that it was his favorite movie.\u00a0 I shot it in March of 2007.”<\/em><\/p>\n

As for her stage name, Magdalene here said that she has always been drawn to Mary Magdalene though she is not a religious person.<\/p>\n

“Mary Magdalene, when it came to a stage name, that was the first thing I thought of.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t care what the majority of people think.\u00a0 Then, Dan O\u2019Connell was the one who said I needed a last name.\u00a0 Then, right up the coast from where I grew up in England, the very last county.\u00a0 There\u2019s a little island off the coast and it\u2019s called St. Michaels Mount and it\u2019s beautiful.\u00a0 So that\u2019s how I chose my stage name!”<\/em><\/p>\n
