Sometimes, folks, a good movie sex scene is sexier and hotter than porn. Okay, so maybe not sometimes. Maybe a lot of times. We don’t know if it’s because it involves the actresses we like (and we’re dying to see what they look like under those glammed up clothes) or the cinematography (nope, porn has good cinematography nowadays), the thrill of watching it in a movie house or the mystery of not seeing the actual penetration. We really don’t know. All we know is: sex scenes in movies (mainstream or independent) is just hotter than porn and can get you off with only the first couple of frames.

1. Malena (2000)
Though not really a sex scene but… Man, imagine you are the boy and you are that close to Monica Bellucci‘s uber hot body? Ah, an adolescent’s fantasy…
Oh, and every time I hear Dave Matthews Band’s Crash Into Me, I can’t help but want to watch this scene.
2. Irreversible (2002)
Another that stars the beautiful Monica Bellucci. This one is quite controversial as it is not your usual movie sex scene. This one is forced and yup, in the back door. Also, the violence. You’ll cringe the first time you watch this and you’ll want to stop… but you won’t be able to. Why? Monica Belluci, man.
Monica as a lot of memorable sex scenes. May next time we’ll do an entire article all about those. You know, from hot to hottest (all of them are worth watching and she’s got no bad sex scene, believe us).
3. 9 Songs (2004)
“In London, love blooms between an American college student, named Lisa, and an English scientist, named Matt, between attending rock concerts.”
That plot is enough. But what we don’t get is critics bashing this. I mean, it may not have the steamiest banging but its real sex. If you’re tired from the rock show plus the alcohol and the drugs, you’d really bang like Keiran O’Brien and Margo Stilley in this movie. It’s as real as it can get… Yup, the movie’s sex scenes… What else?
4. Polar (2019)
Now, this is the newest on the list and it’s from Netflix. Yup, new as in January this year… But we’ve watched it for like a hundred times already. And yes, because of the rough, adrenaline pumping banging between Mads Mikkelsen and Ruby O. Fee. Go give this movie a watch. It will be one of your favorites, we promise.
5. Blue Is The Warmest Color (2013)
Another controversial flick. Why? Because it featured a hot scissor scene. Yup, scene shocked a lot because people were still struggling with LGBT relationships in a movie. This lengthy (the nudity is abundant) film got an NC-17 rating.
6. Black Swan (2010)
Another girl on girl scene. This time, it’s Hollywood produced. It may not be as steamy as Blue is The Warmest Color but… Man, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis! The thought, alone, can give you a hard-on.
Okay, they inserted a pussy being licked at the end. It’s not from the movie. But yeah, it’s also good to see.
7. Blue Valentine (2010)
This flick was given an NC-17 rating weeks before its release which affected its Box Office chances. But that’s okay as this movie will go down in history as one of the hottest Hollywood produced because of its controversial sex scenes. Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams look like they really did it. Especially with that super steamy cunnilingus.
8. Monster’s Ball (2001)
Of course. This one should be here. It was even rumored that Halle Berry and Billy Bob Thornton were actually doing IT. Or maybe they were as the scene looks very realistic. That or they’re just really good actors. I mean, come on! Halle and Billy. But real or not, this one truly deserves a place here.
9. Killing Me Softly (2002)
Oh, Heather Graham. You, dear reader, how many times have you watched this? Especially that choking scene… Oh, man, this is an all time favorite. And yes, after writing this entry, I’d give this one another watch.
10. The Nymphomaniac Volume 1 and 2 (2013)
This is it There countless scenes here and you’ll have a hard time picking out your favorite. Really. As the movie is famous for featuring almost every kind of sexual act you can think of.
But this award-winning film’s actors never really had sex. Yup, to produce scenes of unsimulated sex, writer and director Lars von Trier used digital compositing to superimpose the genitals of pornographic film actors onto the bodies of the film’s actors. Producer Louise Vesth explained during the Cannes Film Festival:
“We shot the actors pretending to have sex and then had the body doubles, who really did have sex, and in post [production] we will digital-impose the two. So above the waist, it will be the star and the below the waist it will be the doubles.”
